My name is Margaret McDowell, and I am the Zumba Instructor for EverLasting Fitness since July 2020. I am excited to be taking this fitness journey with you. Currently, I am 50 pounds overweight. I have struggled with weight gain for approximately six years.
Six years ago I found myself bed ridden due to angina. During my eight months in bed, I comforted myself with food: oxtails, Publix sandwiches, peach cobbler, Wendy’s Baconators, macaroni and cheese, and more. Sometimes, I purchased the food just to place it in the refrigerator because knowing it was available made me feel in control of something.
I gained 60 pounds during those eight months, and I have been struggling to exercise the discipline necessary to lose the weight. This year, I decided that I will not live undisciplined anymore. I will shed these extra pounds and gain my health and confidence back.
I want to help you do the same by providing Zumba workouts and a community of women who support each other through the journey of fitness.
