The saner I accidentally became, the more insane I realized I was.
I was so busy trying to find someone who would put up with me that I never really evaluated my worth here on earth.
For about four and a half years, I suffered with angina and severe, I mean severe, muscle tension. Apparently, I would have a bad anxiety attack followed by an angina attack. The worse the angina the tighter my neck muscle and the less I could function. I would end up hospitalized sometimes for hours, other times for days.
One day, I went to the hospital and met a doctor who actually listened then prescribed me Valium and a therapist.
Three months later, I looked at my husband and thought:
"What! Wait . . .
What did you say I did? . . .
What did you just do? . . .
Am I really married to you? . . .
Who made that decision?"
Have you ever had one of those days?
Do you feel like you need one of those days?
Sometimes, medication, affirmations, and prayers are needed.
". . . be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Godʼs will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will" (Romans 12:2).
". . . we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because Godʼs love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us" (Romans 5:3 -
